Meet Charlie!
A couple of years ago his Mum Nikki sent us this lovely photo of her happy smiley boy in his new personalised hat. We loved the photo so much that with mum’s kind permission, we decided to use Charlie’s photo on our website product page.
Charlie was born with a condition called Hypotonia, and also a condition called Dystonia that can cause painful muscle spasms, problems swallowing, and not being able to sit or walk independently, despite these conditions Charlie remains the happy, smiling boy as in the picture mum first sent me.
It was lovely to hear from Mum again earlier this week. She told me of a new development that could help Charlie, now three years old, to gain more independence in carrying out the tasks which most of us take for granted, such as sitting, walking, talking and swallowing.
The NAPA centre in America provides an intensive therapy for 3 weeks which includes physio, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy. For Charlie to attend, would massively benefit this determined little boy’s future development.
This specialized therapy is costly, so Charlie’s family have created a JustGiving page to help fund “Charlie’s Therapy Dream.”
Please take a moment to find more out about little Charlie, and hopefully, become involved in the fundraising or make a donation by visiting:
