Tracking Your Order
All orders are sent using tracked delivery.
Once your order has been dispatched you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your Royal Mail tracking number.
Royal Mail may also send delivery updates directly by email or SMS, which may include:
- Dispatch confirmation
- Estimated delivery date
- Notification when the parcel is out for delivery
- Options to rearrange delivery, nominate a neighbour or select a safe place
- Delivery confirmation once the parcel has been delivered
Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking updates and ensuring someone is available to receive the parcel where necessary.
Safe Place & Delivery Instructions
If possible, please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive the parcel. If you will not be available, we recommend using the courier tracking link to rearrange delivery or select a secure delivery option.
Where no one is available, the courier may leave the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour where deemed appropriate.
Royal Mail may offer options via the tracking link to:
- Rearrange delivery
- Deliver to a neighbour
- Nominate a safe place
If a customer selects a safe place, alternative delivery location, or requests delivery without a signature, the parcel will be delivered in accordance with those instructions.
Where delivery instructions or safe place requests are provided to Royal Mail, responsibility for the parcel transfers to the customer once Royal Mail confirms delivery to the requested location.
We strongly recommend customers avoid selecting a safe place unless the location is secure.
Lullaby Lane Baby Shop cannot accept responsibility for parcels that are lost, stolen or damaged after Royal Mail has confirmed delivery to a safe place or alternative location requested by the customer.
Proof of Delivery
If Royal Mail tracking confirms that a parcel has been delivered to the delivery address provided at checkout, or to a location associated with that address such as a neighbour or safe place, the order is considered fulfilled.
Royal Mail delivery confirmation may include:
- Delivery scan confirmation
- GPS delivery location data
- Delivery photographs where available
- Delivery route and driver records
This information may be used as evidence of successful delivery in the event of delivery disputes or payment chargebacks.
Delivery claims may be subject to investigation and verification using courier delivery data and associated records.
Delivered but Not Received
If Royal Mail tracking confirms a parcel has been delivered but the recipient cannot locate it, customers should first:
- Check around the delivery location and any nominated safe places
- Check with household members
- Check with neighbours or nearby properties
- Review the Royal Mail tracking updates and delivery confirmation
Many parcels are located during these checks.
Royal Mail Delivery Investigations
If the parcel still cannot be located, customers must contact Royal Mail using the tracking number provided and request that they open a delivery investigation with the local delivery office responsible for the delivery route.
Royal Mail will provide a case reference number once the investigation has been opened.
Customers must provide this case reference number to us so that we can review the delivery with the courier.
Unfortunately we are unable to investigate delivery issues further until a Royal Mail investigation has been opened and a case reference number has been provided.
Delivery Disputes
Where Royal Mail confirms successful delivery to the delivery address or to a safe place requested by the customer, the order will be considered fulfilled.
Royal Mail delivery confirmation and investigation results may be relied upon as evidence in the event of disputes, claims or payment chargebacks.
False or fraudulent claims regarding delivery may be challenged using courier delivery data and supporting evidence.
Reporting Delivery Issues
If you believe there is a problem with the delivery of your order, you must notify us as soon as possible.
Missing parcel reports must be made within 48 hours of the Royal Mail delivery confirmation shown on the tracking information.
Customers must contact Royal Mail directly using the tracking number provided and request that they open a delivery investigation with the local delivery office responsible for the delivery route.
Please note that Royal Mail may initially advise customers to contact the sender. However, for parcels that are marked as delivered, the recipient must request that Royal Mail open a delivery investigation so that the local delivery office can review the delivery.
Royal Mail will provide a case reference number once the investigation has been opened.
This case reference number must be provided to us so that we can review the delivery with the courier.
Unfortunately we are unable to investigate delivery issues or consider claims for missing parcels until a Royal Mail investigation has been opened and a case reference number has been provided.
Prompt reporting allows Royal Mail to review delivery scans, GPS delivery location data, driver records and delivery photographs where available.
Delays in reporting missing parcels may reduce the courier's ability to investigate the delivery.
Incorrect Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided at checkout is complete and accurate.
Lullaby Lane Baby Shop Ltd cannot be held responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete address information supplied by the customer.
If a parcel is returned to us by the courier due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer will be responsible for paying the shipping cost for the order to be resent.
Shipping charges are non-refundable in these circumstances.
Delivery Responsibility
Responsibility for the order transfers to the customer once the parcel has been delivered to the delivery address provided at checkout or to a location associated with that address (such as a neighbour or safe place) where confirmed by the courier.
Courier delivery confirmation, including delivery scans, GPS delivery location data and delivery photographs where available, may be used as evidence that delivery has been completed.
