Is this more of an outfit or an everyday sleepsuit?
We'd describe it as a little of both. It has all the practicality and comfort of a sleepsuit, but the pink velour, collar and smocked detailing give it a more traditional dressed appearance. It's ideal when you want something special without putting baby into a separate top and bottoms.

Would you recommend this for a newborn baby's first outfit?
Yes. Newborn is the smallest available size, and the enclosed feet and long sleeves make it a particularly nice first outfit for babies arriving during the cooler months. It also photographs beautifully for those first pictures.

What should I coordinate with the baby pink?
For a classic newborn look, we'd keep the accessories simple with white or baby pink. A white knitted hat or baby bonnet works especially well, while pink or white knitted booties can be added when you want to complete the outfit for a gift.

Is the velour warm?
Velour has a cosier feel than a lightweight cotton jersey, so we particularly like this style for autumn and winter. As with all baby clothing, the layers worn underneath should be adjusted for the temperature.

Which size is best if I'm buying this as a new baby present?
If the baby has already arrived, choose according to their current age and size. If you're buying before the birth and aren't certain how small baby will be, the 1 Month size can provide a little more room while still being suitable for those very early weeks.
